Wikispaces - Instructor Ideas

Instructors can use a class wiki (Wikispaces) to:

• Create resources:
  • Create a vocabulary, grammar (or whatever topic) depository
  • Summarize lessons for learners
  • Create a presentation
  • Write a reference book or a class encyclopedia
  • Create study guides
  • Post problems to solve
• Other ideas:
  • Create an FAQ
  • Do a mock debate
  • Embed a video with accompanying comprehension questions
  • Embed an audio-recording with script
  • Introduce concepts by posting on wiki
  • Post authentic materials (e.g. newspaper article)
  • Post questions for learners to answer
  • Request learners to post reflections or comments
  • Save links, class handouts, etc.
• Create Group Projects:
  • Collaborate notes
  • Create one page per learner/ group on the wiki to collaborate on a project
  • Create project document together
  • Track projects
