Creating Mindmaps
Text2MindMap - Instructor Ideas
Instructors can use mind mapping tools (Text2MindMap) to:
- Brainstorm ideas for the various parts (structure, purpose, audience and message) for writing memos, letters, stories, etc.
- Create a general thread on a topic or vocabulary word in a mindmap and have learners in pairs or triads add to the mindmap helping in their review of previously learned vocabulary and concepts
- Create class projects on any topic where learners will complete a mind map, by adding definitions, sections, categories and more, to initial general threads
- Create visual outlines of topics to be covered
- Illustrate linkages between words, terms, grammar, etc.
- Introduce vocabulary on a daily basis with their classes
- Organize information in order to write lessons, reports, projects, etc.
- Organize thoughts and ideas for writing reports
- Set up projects where learners would incorporate mind maps and text to organize content and may include numerous map show relationships between concepts
