Using RSS Feeds
Feedzilla - Instructor Ideas
The instructor can use RSS feeds (Feedzilla) to:
- Bring content to the class as a news-feed collector using feeds such as http://a4esl.org/p/ which is an Easy Online RSS Reader for English as a Second Language (ESL) Podcasts
- Connect to online magazines
- Create RSS feed from a search of Google sites (not news) (do through Googlealerts.com)
- Create RSS feeds for search terms (e.g. global warming)
- Create unique tags for specific classes
- Keep tabs on what those students are posting by subscribing to their students’ feeds
- Organize web content
- Stay more current on topic specific sites
- Update the class on personal class web pages and communicate with students about new links and content on your sites use RSS search feeds to get latest world news
